How AI credits work
When credits are charged, estimated, refunded or left untouched.
User credits are a plan policy
Aetherion credits measure user-facing AI operations. The credit charge configured for a plan is separate from the platform's internal provider cost in USD. A provider can change without redefining what the user's plan promises.

Generation accounting
Generation jobs can record estimated credits, charged credits, provider, model, status and refund state. A failed or interrupted operation should be resolved by the job and credit-ledger workflow rather than by hiding the charge in the interface.
