Read the release timeline and restore a previously packaged project state.
What a deployment records
- Provider, environment, status and deployment URL.
- Source kind and source snapshot when a release was restored.
- Packaged file and asset counts.
- Start, completion and error information.
- A project event that places the release in the wider timeline.
Restore from a snapshot
A restore creates a new release from an earlier packaged deployment snapshot. The original and restored deployments remain in history, and the newer record points to its source snapshot.
Restore is not an invisible overwrite
The new release is recorded as a separate lifecycle event, which preserves traceability and makes the latest state clear.
